Dreier Back in Democratic Crosshairs

LA-area Democrats are taking a fresh look at unseating Congressman David Dreier after a new report showing his fundraising drying up.<> <>"I'm not sure any Republicans bordering on a blue area feel secure," LA County Democratic Chair Eric Bauman told The Daily News today. "We certainly have our eyes on that seat." <> <>FEC reports show that Dreier has scooped up only $27,000 in the last two quarters. In the past, Dreier has typically raked into $100,000 - $200,000 per quarter. Dreier's drop in fundraising is due in large part to Republicans being on the out's in Congress. <> <>Dreier won handily in 2006 after a scare in 2004. He remains one of the top GOP mouthpieces on Capitol Hill -- reason enough for Democrats to take him on.
