The pollsters are just as split as the electorate in the run-up to the hotly contested February 5 California primary. Four new polls are out.

In the latest Field Poll, Senator Hillary Clinton is up by a narrow 36-34 margin, with 18 percent undecided. She was up 12 points on January 22. But in the latest McClatchy/MSNBC poll, Clinton has more breathing room, holding on to a 45-36 lead.

Meanwhile, the latest Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby has Senator Barack Obama up by 4 points, at 45-41. Rasmussen has the race at a near tie, with Obama holding a narrow 45-44 lead over Clinton.
