The Kerry's Endorsement of Obama. So What?

[courtesy of The California Majority Report]

Sen. John Kerry has dissed his former running mate John Edwards and will endorse Sen. Barack Obama today.

Mainstream media is frothing at the story. I don't get it.

Most Democrats I know where unimpressed with the Kerry campaign -- it's lackluster response to Swiftboating and his failure (unlike Obama) to connect with voters. And doesn't exactly represent the "change" thing Obama has going for him.

On top of that, there's a reason Kerry didn't run again. There just wasn't any support among Democrats again to see him run.

It's a boost for the Obama campaign, that's for sure. But it's a real poke in the eye to Edwards and will bring precious little to his campaign.
