Word from the Future: ABC News Destroys All Credibility
by Bob Brigham [courtesy of Calitics - Front Page]
All reports indicate that when the ABC News Democratic Party Debate airs in the Pacific Time zone at 8 PM that you are better off doing pretty much anything other than watching it. There are reviews are already in and there seems to be a clear consensus on Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos and ABC News and the parent company Disney.
"Looking around other sites, I guess I'm not the only one that thought this debate was unmitigated travesty," Josh Marshall noted. "Maybe the embargo on debate rebroadcast was a pro-human rights stand."
"The debate is over, and I feel like I need a shower. [...] The crowd here is starting to boo Gibson. Like, a lot. Hilarious and well-deserved."
-Chris Bowers
"No Charlie. It hasn't been a "fascinating debate." It's been genuinely awful."
-Josh Marshall
"What matters to this network is money, and that is where we need to go. Starting tomorrow, my spare time, meager as it is, will be dedicated to revealing the advertisers of this network, for the purpose of organized boycotts."

McCain Changes His Taxes Position Again, Back On The ‘No New Taxes’ Talking Points
Think Progress has video at the link above: Here's a bit of it:
In February, ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos asked Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) if he was a “‘read my lips’ candidate” who believed in “no new taxes, no matter what?” “No new taxes,” responded McCain.
But McCain soon changed his position. Two week after telling Stephanopoulos that he would not support new taxes under any circumstances, McCain backed away from his pledge in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, claiming that he wouldn’t make a firm commitment to not raise taxes:

McCain to Contest California with Schwarzenegger Backing
[courtesy of The California Majority Report]
It looks like California is going to be in play in the November election.
In an ABC interview set to air this Sunday, Sen. John McCain says he plans to campaign in the Golden State. And he's going to tag-team with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to garner support.
I can't wait. The last time those two teamed up was in 2005, when McCain tried to rescue Schwarzenegger's failed "year of reform." They failed miserably.
McCain's anti-choice, pro-war, and anti-environmental record also will make the two an odd couple that should lead to a few awkward moments if the press does its job (a boy can dream).
Here’s the transcript from Sunday's interview (from the Sacramento Bee's Capitol Alert):
Sen. John McCain:
But I mentioned to you earlier, we've got to reunite the party and we've got to re-energize the party. And I'm prepared to do that. We've got plenty of time. But I won't waste a day. And I'd like to mention one other thing, I'll compete all over America. We won't have -- we'll be competing everywhere, including the state of California.George Stephanopoulos:
Including California?McCain:
