Our Own Poll
by Karen Kostoff [courtesy of Blog for America]
Hi DFA Member;
I know you all heard from me or Teresa calling or emailing to find out who you support to be the nominee in the Democratic Presidential Caucus next week. Originally intended to have this done before the Iowa Caucus. That's why some answers reflect GREAT candidates that have since dropped out. Reason being, we had a hard time hearing back from people. So of our 183 members between Las Vegas and Henderson we actually only got 49 responses.
Unfortunately, we had some wrong numbers or emails. So it would be great if you could log in to your DFA account and update your profiles for us.

Who gets to vote on endorsements?
by George Gibson [courtesy of Blog for America]
This thread is here for folks to comment on why they voted the way they did in our online endorsement polls, and specifically on the questions of whether to allow online voting and whether to limit who can vote.
(For those of you who came here from Blog for America, please note that we're talking about Asheville Democracy for America's endorsement process, not on DFA's endorsement process. DFA-Asheville is a state-level PAC in North Carolina, so we'd have a hard time endorsing anyone not in North Carolina.)
And if you came here first, and want to jump to our polls, vote here on whether to allow online voting, and here on whether to limit who gets to vote.

Props Where Props are Deserved

This is a wow:
The Interstate 880 connector that was damaged when a tanker full of gas exploded in flames last Sunday will reopen at 5 a.m., in time for the Monday morning commute, Caltrans director Will Kempton announced this afternoon.
I have a hard time saying this, but the Ahnold deserves some serious credit for doing in a week what Garry South and Gray Davis would have avoided for a year.
