by Brian Leubitz [courtesy of Calitics - Front Page]

From another chapter of the "Arnold and McCain Feud", McCain officially endorses the end of marriage equality. Today the Destroy Marriage propaganda operation released this statement from McCain (h/t CapAlert):

"I support the efforts of the people of California to recognize marriage as a unique institution between a man and a woman, just as we did in my home state of Arizona. I do not believe judges should be making these decisions."

How very "Maverick" of him.  He's really taking it to those "agents of intolerance" by, um, supporting their agenda. That will show them!

I don't like to use exclamations in my titles, but I felt this deserved one. A friend of mine emailed me a PDF foretelling a ruling in In Re Marriage Cases from the Supreme Court's website.  So, tomorrow is the judgment day, the day we will learn if, in California, we all really do have equal rights to marry the one we love.

The decision is scheduled to come out at 10am. The Supreme Court has all sorts of interesting documents, audio, and other stuff related to the case at a special "High Profile Cases" page.

Kansas Board of Ed. repeals conservative sex ed policies

TOPEKA, Kansas (AP) -- The Kansas Board of Education on Tuesday repealed sex education policies enacted last year, the latest move by the moderate majority to undo efforts by conservatives when they dominated the board.

One rescinded policy recommended that schools stress abstinence until marriage, while the other urged school districts to get parental permission before students could attend human sexuality classes.

On a 6-3 vote, the board replaced the policies with one that recommends "abstinence plus" sex education programs and leaves it up to the state's 296 school districts to decide whether to get parental permission.
