America Sees the Real Hillary: "You Go Girl"
by Be Truthful [courtesy of Blog for America]
I wrote a diary on mydd.com, "I'm There, I See The Truth. Hillary, You Had Me At Solutions!" a few days ago where I talked about seeing through the enemies of Hillary's distorting and lying about of who and what Hillary is. Corporate Media, well, I can't even say anymore all but pushing her opponent at any means, because we have seen exactly that. Keith Olbermann has decided to use his show as a propaganda outlet to say anything against Hillary, as apparently his means to make the other candidate look better. Recently even taking up with the hinting that maybe the Clinton's actually had something to do with Obama's passport information breach (does he even get embarrassed by his own actions?). We find out Friday that Mrs. Clinton's passport information was breached as far back as last year, but of course that doesn't fit with his conspiracy theory. Anyhow, I have learned that it isn't just me, but it is many other netroots across the country sharing (thank you for all the great comments you shared) in the realization of who the true Hillary is and what she has accomplished. And we can only delight in knowing what she WILL accomplish as President of the United States.

Oprah was Right: Obama is the One
[courtesy of The California Majority Report]
I have always been an Obama fan, but after listening to his victory speech this evening, I believe for the first time that he will be our next President. Besting Clinton and Edwards in the Iowa caucuses was impressive. But what blew me away was how he seized the moment -- delivering a powerful, stirring speech that defined the Iowa outcome not just as a campaign victory, but as a truly historic event.
When you compare Obama’s soaring oratory and message of hope and unity to Hillary’s tired and recycled “ready to be President on Day 1” stump speech -- it all came into focus tonight. Obama inspires, unites, and makes you believe that after 8 years of being embarrassed of this country’s leadership -- we actually have the chance to elect the best and the brightest to the White House. Perhaps this generation’s Kennedy. Obama offers the opportunity to replace a bumbling President whose abilities are a joke but whose actions have been tragic, with a leader who genuinely inspires and can restore respect for America both at home and abroad.
After tonight, unless you have an ambassador appointment waiting for you in a Clinton White House, I don’t see how you choose Hillary over Obama. I predict he wins New Hampshire, wins South Carolina, secures the nomination and goes on to become the next President of the United States.

Gore's Not the Only One Who Won
[courtesy of California Progress Report]
By Mary Lyon
Pardon my cackling. I'm savoring my win.
The man from whom the highest American honor imaginable was stolen at the end of 2000 has now been awarded the highest honor the world community has to offer. And. I. Am. Loving. It.
Al Gore's Nobel Peace Prize is richly-deserved. By all rights he should be accepting it in Oslo at the end of this year as a magnificent bookend near the conclusion of his second term as the forty-third President of the United States, at the opposite end of his triumph over George W. Bush seven years ago. Perhaps he wouldn't have had the time to develop public awareness about the crisis of global warming if he'd had the kind of load on his shoulders that any competent president has to carry. Or maybe, with the clout, luster, and bully-pulpit of the White House at his command, he could have put that much more “oomph” into this cause. We would at least have been much farther along toward solving this crisis after almost seven years. Who can say? Nevertheless, this latest and most magnificent accolade is all the sweeter because it's OUR win, as well.

Poll: California Poised to Elect Hillary Clinton Next President of the United States
[courtesy of California Progress Report]

By Frank D. Russo
The California Field Poll, long considered the "gold standard" in the measuring the attitudes of voters in the Golden State, has today released a poll showing that Hillary Clinton has increased her lead here amongst likely voters for the Democratic nomination and that she has sizeable double digit leads when matched up against Republican candidates for President in the general election.
The California Democratic Primary
Clinton would get 49% of the primary vote if the election were held today, up from 41% that she polled in March. Barack Obama, her closest challenger, has dropped from 28% to 19%, according to this poll. Not only is Clinton close to a majority of California's likely Democratic voters in the February primary, but she has a 30 point lead over Obama. John Edwards has dropped from 13% to 10%, within the range of error of the poll, but not making any advances here. The rest of the Democratic candidates are at 3% or below. Undecided Democratic voters may have increased from 9% to 12%, and that too is within the confidence level of the poll.

Feinstein Backs Clinton
[courtesy of The California Majority Report]
Senator Hillary Clinton's campaign continues to rack up endorsements in California, today bringing U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein into the fold.<> <>"This is a very special moment for me because I have the opportunity to endorse the campaign of a U.S. Senator who I believe will be the first female President of the United States," Senator Feinstein said. "Hillary Clinton, I believe, has the experience, the heart, and the strength to be a great American President. There has been no election for President where change is as defined and necessary as this one. The question is who is best equipped to lead that change. I believe it is Hillary."<> <>Feinstein joins Speaker Fabian Nunez, LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, and Treasurer Bill Lockyer among the big names backing Clinton. Yesterday, Oakland Assemblymember Sandre Swanson threw his support to Clinton.<>
