I am an attorney and small winery owner seeking the Democratic Nomination for the California State Senate race in the 15th District, a District that comprises five counties spanning from Santa Maria to Santa Cruz.

I am running because I believe every political race should have at least two candidates so that the freer and broader flow of ideas and perspectives are afforded to the People. Voters in the East Bay's 14-Assembly District, which consists ofBerkeley, Richmond and Lamorinda and is considered among the state'smost liberal, features four-candidates courting the progressive vote, although some lean more to the left than others, the San FranciscoChronicle reports. Of the four, Nancy Skinner seems best equipped torelate with the entirety of the district and get things done inSacramento.

California Assembly District AD 14 Candidate Speeches

by WhatAre Progressive Values [courtesy of Blog for America]

I video taped the speeches for  the California Assembly District AD 14 Candidates  at the El Cerrito Democratic Club 3/25/08.  This will probably only be of interest to people living in California AD 14.

However, I asked the candidates what are progressive values. How do you think they did on answering the question?  I find Nancy Skinner did the best job of actually addressing what are progressive values.
