Josh Lyman Talking Dirty (Tricks)

Bradley Whitford, the actor who played Josh Lyman on the beloved show "The West Wing"" is riled up about the dirty tricks initiative.  Rick Jacobs asked him to film a video for Courage Campaign. 

Brad sat down and wrote his own heartfelt script and they filmed it in his house surrounded by all of his children's toys. As Brad says: "I don't know about you, but my children cannot afford another Republican president."

Watch the video and check out the new official No Dirty Tricks website.  Oh and join the conference call with Brad, Rick, Jane Hamsher (Firedoglake), John Amato (Crooks and Liars) and Ben Tulchin (pollster) at 4 pm today.  They will be answering questions from those on the call and a few submitted ahead of time.

The Mark Leno Challenge

Earlier this week, I challenged the Calitics community to contribute to Mark Leno by promising to match all contributions up to $500 made on the Calitics ActBlue page through Friday night.  The challenge was a success.  In fact, we raised more than $500.00.    

Ten people contributed a total of $550.00 to Mark's campaign.  I have matched the entire $550.00.  So together, we raised a total of $1,100.00 for Mark's campaign.  Thanks to everyone who contributed for making this challenge a success!

Mark still needs our help.  So feel free to keep contributing to his campaign right here.

Al Gore Presents at TED Talks 2008

In a return visit to TED Talks this year, Al Gore gave what is a FIRST of a new Slide Show and presentation of the latest information on the front of Climate Change caused by Global Warming.

 Bittersweet.  This man is so incredible. Mind, passion, intelligence. I'm thrilled of his work and efforts, but ache to my soul that we lose by focusing on the inconsequential and petty, not strive and be thrilled with the possibility of greatness that embodies Al Gore. 

 We all can still learn and act.  Have a listen to Al.

Opening the convention

"Oh god, another speech from John Kerry." Those words came from the mouth of Art Torres describing the difference between the level of excitement between this year and 2004. Art continued on to say that the superdelegates should ratify the pledged delegate leader. This is a national convention, not a state or local convention. The national convention should nominate a national candidate. More over the flip.  

4000 lost for Lies

8000 parents of U.S. military sons and daughters have lost their children because of the lies from Bush and Cheney.  Cheney knows the people are against the war. " So" is his response.    Whats yours?
